[rescue] Further tries with the Axil

With a brand new null modem cable - 25 pin to 9 pin - and a 9 pin to
USB I hooked up the serial port to my primary machine running Linux
Mint. I installed PuTTY to use for this on /dev/ttyUSB0

I left no drive installed and pulled all but one stick of memory, and
have the 90mhz 256 cache cpu it came with installed.

Connected the cables - the 9 pin end of the USB has a light to show
that there is a signal present. Set 9N1, 9600, /dev/ttyUSB0 in PuTTY,
turn on the power on the 320 and nothing. Hit break, nothing.

Change ram sticks. Power on. Nothing. look at light on front that came
on the other day? Nothing. One of the PSU fans that was working? Not
any more.

This is not looking good.

Le Sigh... Thoughts and suggestions?
