I got a T420 for $600 AUD about $385 USD with 64 GB RAM, 2x136GB SAS + 6x2TB SAS, and dual Xeon 6 core E5-2430 2.2 Ghz. Has fully licensed idrac enterprise. Running ESX 7. My guests consist of 8 or 9 vms and it’s not fully loaded even with two ONTAP select instances.
