<html><body><div><div dir="ltr">Hi friends,</div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">I’ve been battling getting my Ultra 1 170e to boot solaris install from CD. It boots the NetBSD install fine. I get exactly the same results if it’s an actual CD or a ZuluSCSI cd image. I get the same results on a Solaris 7 install or Solaris 2.6 install.</div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Right after “using default device instance data” the spinning cursor freezes. Box will not L1-a after this.</div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">I reset the NVRam and reprogrammed it with box type “80” and the same problem persists. The CD device is 512b blocks as well as the ZuluImage.</div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">As I mentioned NetBSD install and execution works fine. </div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Any ideas folks?</div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Thx!</div></div><div><br></div><div><br></div>
