For machines without power supply, a solution might be to power them
with an ATX power supply and an adapter.
I designed one to use with a 3/80 motherboard from the ATX
specifications and SS2 service manual (for the pinouts). However it
didn't help said 3/80 (still under very slow investigation), so I
suggest a thorough triple-check before trying. It can be found here:
<https://github.com/rdolbeau/SS1_ATX> I couldn't find a matching 2x6
connector for the Sun side, so it's designed for a 2x7 and two pins
are hanging out on the side...

I have adapted a few different 300W mini-ITX/flex-ATX PSUs to
work with Sun lunchbox systems as well as an Axil clone that uses
the same connector but different pin assignments. I prefer modular
PSUs so that the adaptation is new harnesses between the PSU and
the system board.

The connector for the Sun end that I use is DigiKey part number
WM3705-ND made by Molex. The pins/terminals that I use for that
connector is DigiKey part number WM9154-ND. The only issue that I
encountered was not having the correct crimper for the pin.
