    <p>You can get newly manufactured ST NVRAMs (M48T02, M48T08, M48T48,
      but not M48T59) from proper distributors such as DigiKey and
      Mouser.</p>
    <p>A lot of the "new" ones on eBay have pictures clearly showing a
      1995 or 2000 manufacture date, although a lot of the sellers seem
      to equate new with unused, which doesn't help much with batteries.</p>

        expect, anything new will already be dead too since these

              I found the above when a customer sent in some NVRAMs for
              rebuild last week. Hot garbage if you ask me, especially
              considering the price tag.<br>
