NFS can also be an issue, particularly if you are trying to run early versions. For file share I use a specially built RPi which has a custom NFS setup as well as Samba and FTP to access the same file sets. This covers all the machines I have. Do you think that your encrypted network behind a router is going to somehow be penetrated by hackers, and that they would somehow be interested in an SS10? Anything behind a router is only as insecure as that setup and whatever ports you set up to be forwarded to the outside world. Didn't set up any ports to be forwarded to the outside world?
