I worry the SS1000 falls into a bit of a donut hole between UPS and freight - it needs to be packed rather well to survive UPS, but is small enough that I worry it may get trashed if trying to use a mover or freight shipper and too small to make these services worth it. These folks have anything from a SUV+trailer to a U-Haul type box truck to move things. They try to line up pickup and drop offs along major routes. We shipped our son's bedroom furniture that way.
