[SPARCbook] Resurrecting sparcbook 2 ... how?

I was just given a sparcbook 2 that seems to be all there, and boots
into the rom monitor, but won't find vmunix.  I have the SparcBook
solaris 1.0.1 B.1, and would like to use that since it is a sunos
distribution and should have a c compiler still.  Alas, I don't
have that silly 36 pin scsi cable thingie.  Can it be netbooted
enough to work from something like a  FreeBSD or SunOS sun4 or
OpenBSD IPX box?
