[Sunhelp] Printing services

When I try to print as a normal user the machine
reports:
UX:lp: ERROR: Can't establish contact with the LP
print service.
      TO FIX: Either the LP print service has stopped,
              or all message channels are busy. If the
              problem continues, get help from your
              system administrator.

and I can't print, but I can if I do it as root, what
could be the problem?
