[Sunhelp] Tape question

Hi,
Perhaps a silly question.
I have a  DAT DDS3 4mm tape. When I insert a cartridge i see:
Leila#  mt -f /dev/rmt/0n status
HP DDS-3 4MM DAT tape drive:
   sense key(0x0)= No Additional Sense   residual= 0   retries= 0
   file no= 0   block no= 0
Leila# 

Is there a simple way to detect if the tape is write protected
