Looks like Sun needs a lawyer with a little more understanding of the =
tech community. Especially Sun's.=20
I am new to Sun systems and have gained valuable PRACTICAL experience =
from reading the sunhelp.org messages.=20
Regarding Chris Petersons message,(Sun coming off as a bully and taking =
his business elsewhere) I think Sun has a lot in common with Apple. =
Fewer, but more loyal, users and sponsors. Plus Sun users are a higher =
caliber and I believe deserve to be treated as such. I hope the Sun =
management sees this as many of us do. (Coming from an NT background, =
this is how I feel.) I have benefited technically from Suns promotion =
of the FREE solaris 7 and 8 for Intel platforms. Sun needs to continue =
along this path and make their systems open to more people. With the =
proliferation of Linux I see big challenges ahead for Sun. (Speaking =
from experience, working at one of the largest Telecommunication =
companies, many techs are "playing" with Linux, but few with Sun OS)
Best of luck,
Ray Reu
