[Sunhelp] Anonymous ftp uploads with wu-ftp

Hi all,

I'm having a bit of trouble getting wu-ftp to allow anonymous ftp on a
sparc5 running solaris8. I installed the daemon from the GNU cd that
came with solaris 8 and then ran the setup script from the man page.
after that i followed the upload.configuration.HOWTO but I am still
getting a message like:

553 filename: Permission denied on server. (Upload)

here are the lines from my /etc/passwd:
ftp:x:30000:30000:Anonymous FTP:/export/ftp:/nosuchshell
ftpadmin:*:96:96::/export/ftp:

here are the entries in ftpaccess
class   all   real,guest,anonymous  *
upload    /export/ftp    /export/ftp/incoming   yes root daemon 0400
dirs 3773
upload    /export/ftp    /export/ftp/incoming/*   yes root daemon 0400
nodirs

and these are the permissions on the incoming directory:
# ls -l /export/ftp

can anyone see what the problem is? i did restart the daemon after each
time i made changes to ftpaccess with the ftprestart command (i also
tried sending a SIGHUP just to be sure), but so far no luck.  thanks for
the help.
