[Sunhelp] Solaris or Linux

I would like to know why I should pick the Solaris solution over the Linux 
solution on the intel platform.
We are about to install a database server with informix and I would like to 
know if Solaris is better for the job then linux is.
The PC will have SCSI disks, SCSI tape for backup and an INTEL PIII
