Solaris 2.6 supports largefiles.

>From InfoDoc 17075 :

SunOS and Solaris 2.3 through 2.5.1 will support file sizes up to 2GB in
size. By size, it is understood that a file has with it, its own overhead
(inode information, etc.) so closer investigation may reveal that the file
in question is somewhat short of actually being 2GB in size. Solaris 2.6 has
"raised the bar" with the introduction of "largefiles". A largefile, in 2.6
indicates a file that has a size between 2GB and 1Tb (terabyte). 1 Terabyte
is the file size limit for Solaris 2.6. On a 32-bit system, a largefile is
any file equal-to or greater-than 2GB. With the use of largefiles in 2.6,
comes the introduction of "large file aware" and "large file safe"
utilities. A man of largefile(5) will explain these further. It should be
noted that regardless of what the NFS servers capabilities are, NFS clients
not yet upgraded to Solaris 2.6 will not be able to manipulate or read files
larger than their own 2GB file size limit. Please consult your 2.6 System
Administration Guide or visit http://docs.sun.com for more information about
implementing the use of largefiles.

While the maximum Solaris 2.6 UFS filesystem size is 2TB, the
largest
supported file size in at least 2.3, 2.5 and 2.6, is 2GB.
