Actually, I was talking to a (windows) guy here at work, and I'm going
to try something radical. How about converting to fat32, then using
something like Partition Magic to grow the drive? I'm going to give it a
shot. If I screw it up, it's just a container file in my home dir. No
big deal, just be back to where I started...

I'll let you know if it works.
