Well, as someone who grew up as a kid with computers, we handled it this
way:

The computer was mine.  Mum & Dad vaguely understood it, and if the
wanted to use it, they asked me.

Of course, it didn't start out this way.  When we first got the PC (In
'91 - a Phillips 286 with a 1xCDROM) my father was the one who worked on
it.  But then I got my hands on a shareware CD with loads of demo
tutorials, and worked through them all - Dad never had the time :D

Of course, if ever I have kids, I'll sort it out quite simply.

This computer here is mine, as is this one, this one and this one.  That
computer over there is yours.
