Just saw this link, Asus has a new OLPC-type computer coming out this fall, the Eee PC:

It has a 900 MHz P3 Mobile CPU, 512 Meg RAM, and either 4 or 8 Gig FLASH HD (priced $199 or $299, respectively). It has gobs of USB 2.0 sockets, VGA out, web cam and mic, and can run WinXP.

Thought folks here might be interested in taking a look...\

(Of course, Negroponte will be out crying that this isn't fair, his OLPC "deserves" to be everywhere and "own the market" because, well, he's a smart guy and he thought of it first... ;^)
