I'm not aware of any domain registrar that offers something other than a
web portal to do things like renewal, delegation to your name servers,
confirm whois information, and the likes. There may be a registrar that
is willing to do this over phone and / or email and / or (certified)
physical mail. But I suspect finding them /without/ using the web /
visiting web pages is nigh impossible.
You /might/ be able to get someone to be an agent and do the web work on
your behalf. Though that may be fraught with complications avoiding web.

I'm curious what the need is. But it doesn't matter.
I can definitely think of examples where the contemporary web could be
extremely difficult, nigh impossible, to navigate if trying to do so
with assistive technologies like screen readers / Braille output devices
/ etc. Something that is quite incompatible with contemporary web would
be tantamount to actual /need/. -- I have no idea if that's the case
for you, nor am I implying, much less passing any judgement. Your
reasons are your own.

Are you referring to the client aspect? As in you do not have a web
browser (et al.) that supports HTTPS? -- I ask as I'm trying to
understand your situation to see if I can come up with anything that
might help.

That sounds promising.

I'm not sure. But I expect that the domain would still exist up until
it actually expires. Regaining access to it may be more problematic.

Yes, transfers typically add one (or more) year(s) to the existing
registration period.

The thing that's confusing me is that I'm not aware of any registrar
/forcing/ you to use privacy features.
The registrar that I use, Dynadot, offers privacy services and may even
enable them by default. But I have them disabled on my domains. -- I
don't recall if they were off by default and have not opted in or if I
had to go in and disable them.
I bring this up, because I think that disabling the optional privacy
would align with what I understand your desires to be.

Agreed. RWHOIS and SWIP have more to do with IPs and sub-domains than
2nd level domains, or 3rd level domains under multi-level ""top level
domains.
I personally have been looking for RWHOIS / SWIP support for my domains
for a while now. Sadly, the providers that I've been using don't
support them (yet).
Aside: If you do need someone to act as an agent, feel free to email me
and I'll see if I can help.
I don't currently have a domain that I offer sub-domains from or I would
have suggested that. -- I do think that afraid.org et al. has multiple
domains that they do offer sub-domains therefrom. However all of my
interactions with them have been done over the web.
