I'm glad I thought to check the archive....

Two keys have issues: Z and right-arrow.

In the case of the Z key, I think everything that can be missing is.
If I press on the key's footprint with a fingertip it registers as a
keystroke. I assume this involves something moving at least a little,
but whatever it is, it's not enough for me to notice.

In the case of the right-arrow key, the keycap and the little
cross-legged plastic construct are (by comparing with other keys after
removing keycaps) missing; there is aa soft plastic nipple-ish piece
that's present. Pressing on it registers as a keystroke.

If the missing pieces can be replaced from the T43 keyboard, maybe I
should try that. I don't suppose any of you know whether I can swap
mechanical parts between the two?

So, the keys can be made to work, but only for careful single-key use.
They are not much good for fluent connected typing.
