I don't think Deskthority has mailing lists.

One day, when I'm rich and retired, I will pay someone to write a
replacement for phpBB that enforces plain-text bottom-posting and
syndicates comment boards via NNTP, and is accessible as a mailing
list too.

But I am not there yet. (And probably never will be.)
