I don't think Sun designed/built their own x86 motherboards - the low-end desktop x86 workstations were re-branded Tyan motherboards. I'd try and figure out who built the MB for Sun, and that might be a more helpful path to chase down.
Is there a reason you want to alter the operation of the iDRAC/iLO control board? I just took possession of a couple Dell r620 1U servers and they have so-called "executive" iDRAC which, among other things provides me with browser access to the sever console (KVM over IP), power usage monitor, temp, etc info.
