I wouldn't say I knew that, but it hardly surprises me.

I took the lid off and I find, in the silk-screen, "www.newisys.com",
which I suspect is (well, was) the relevant OEM.

Not sure that's much help, though.  When I try that now, of course it
insists on ramming HTTPS down my throat.  When I try from a work
machine, it redirects to vikingenterprisesolutions.com, which appears
to be all about storage "solutions" with no obvious indication they
ever made whole machines for anyone.
