<lots of helpful info from James snipped>

Dang! Nice to know another car geek is on the list. I'll need to
remeber that when it comes time to build up the motor!

All of these figures are estimated, and based on other folks
experience. Needless to say, all the engines's parts are going to be
heavily modified. This will not exactly be a streetable car - but
will be just legal enough to street from time to time (shows, etc)
with minor modification. I plan on racing this car, not driving it
to work every day.

The software used to make the rough calcs was DynoTune2000 (I think,
the name escapes me right now but it's similar at least). As well as
some finishing calcs based on some formulas given to me by an engine
builder. It should be noted that the guy who gave me these formulas
has used in the past with some level of accuracy, but for 4 cylinder
engines. That may be where the calcs go wrong. However, personal
experience has shown me that an absolutely sick amount of HP can be
gained from small block V8s. Yes, these numbers will change, and
will probably go down when the thing is put together - but everyone
needs a starting point...

We shall see, of course, what it ends up as. Hopefully I'll hit
close to those numbers.

Kurt
