I had just gotten my first Sun, a SS1 (16meg/dual 200meg drives/
external 1gig x 2, external cdrom, etc). I couldnt afford a CG3 or
CG6 or a color monitor; I had a bw2 and what I could scrounge.
At home, I had a 486dx2-66 and a 14" color monitor.
Man, what a change from now:
home: AMD Athlon 700Mhz, 512Mb, 20G, 21" Sun monitor
Ultra 60, dual 360Mhz/4meg, 1G RAM, 4G HD, 21" Sun monitor
PowerMac 7600/200Mhz, 48meg, 1G, 21" Sun monitor (shared with U60)
Colo'ed:
Sun AXe ("TopDog") 300Mhz/512K, 128meg, dual 9Gs (sunhelp / mrbill.net)
Ultra 2, 1 x 300Mhz, 256Mb, dual 9G (soon to be main sunhelp box;
I may make the old machine a sql
server..)
Plus, some Ultra 1s, etc...
