Michael:

I don't remember what your original problem was, but if it was getting the
internal scsi tray working on a 670, I found out something really
interesting the other day. When you open up the separate SCSI 'drawer' you
will find a circuit board with 2 SCSI connectors on it, and 4 power
connectors. Well, I know that the SCSI has to be a loop going from one
connector to whatever drives are in the box, then back to the other
connector. Well, I did this using a generic SCSI cable I had here, and no
go, the SCSI stuff didn't work at all. After careful examination of the
board inside I discovered that the connectors key (the slot in the
connector) is wrong! You need a special cable with the 2 outside
connectors reversed from the rest of them for the SCSI stuff to work
properly. All I did was grind off the key on the cable, reverse it, and
now everything works wonderfully! I hope this info helps.
