I thought that they did ship the C-Cube chip.  The faq there doesn't exactly
say that it didn't, just that the C-Cube chip was problematic, and Thompson
thought that the ND team was unrealistic.  But, whatever.  Sucky chip, no
chip, doesn't really make that much difference.
