The only real impact of that tragedy on the project at hand would be closer
inspection of cargo, and I don't think that would be anything more than
increased scrutiny of the cargo.
But, again, my American brain has been told that one of the major benefits of
the EU is the ease of inter-EU state commerce and travel, akin to traveling
between US states.
The basis for my confusion seems to be that the reality of the EU may not be
as it was originally described over here. I'm not trying to be political (it
has no place here), but in the US this wouldn't seem to be nearly as big a
challenge.
