  It's called a "mailing list". This type of thing dates back to the 1970s,
and is a very efficient way to do things. No heavy slow ugly web pages to wade
through, no ads, no BS.  There are LOTS of these mailing lists around. They
are mostly used by more in-depth technical people.

  Many mailing lists have archives that you can look through.
