Hello!

I'm trying to revive an old Sun-3/260. I managed to boot it over network but I'm unable to connect a SCSI disk.

I limited my configuration to CPU card, one memory card and one SCSI card.

I tried two different SCSI adapters - one internal and one external:

Sun P/N: 501-1149 "Sun-2" SCSI host adapter, internal
Sun P/N: 501-1217 "Sun-3" SCSI host adapter, external

I tried two different cables - the original internal cable attached to VME backplane and another one providing external SCSI port. I also tried several SCSI disks that were tested as OK on a Sparc or a PC:

Fujitsu M2624SA - this one was mentioned on a mailing list as compatible
Seagate ST1480N
HP (Quantum) 525MB P/N 0950-2317
DEC RZ25-E

I tried both the termination on the device (Fujitsu disk) as well as external SCSI terminator when I put the disk into external SCSI box.

I have replaced battery on the CPU board.

In all cases kernel panics when it tries to identify the disk. Anybody knows where the problem is?
