I haven't seen that PARTICULAR Icy Dock device before, though I use
several others of theirs (notably their 3.5-2.5 adapters that are the
exact form factor of a 3.5" drive and thus totally plug-and-play).  I'd
definitely consider it were I working with PC hardware, and will keep it
in mind for the future, but in this case we're talking drive
replacements in an X4540 Thor.
