I disassembled the whole screen to look at the caps. One looked like it could
be the culprit and I exchanged it. (I don't have parts lying around to change
all.) But: it still didn't work. I then (should have started with this) looked
at the backlight and that wasn't working - the LCD itself was. No obvious
defects on the backlight. To find out if this was caused by the video card or
the display, I took the display off my working Voyager and put it on the unit
under repair. Nothing. Put it back onto the system it came from - now it
stopped working there as well!

So it looks like the system with the faulty display is frying the backlight
electronics and I'm left without a working colour Voyager :-(

The one from Frank Carrubba has been sold.
