Indeed! I feel a lot stronger about the usefulness of passing message
bodies unmolested than my earlier comment would suggest. But it's a
decision for the list maintainer.

Although it's rather silly b& just because something's been done for a
long time doesn't necessarily make it good. Or bad.

I could probably come up with my own list; not least is the one that is
not infrequently missed - an increasingly long top-posting chain often
includes stuff in the tail that really shouldn't be included in emails
to the current set of recipients. Which sometimes makes PHBs sit up and
pay more attention than they would otherwise.
