[rescue] Illumos distributions?

For myself I just have a numbering scheme in place for each server and make
sure each restore matches the numbering scheme.
So, vm's on proxmox1 are 1xx, Proxmox2 are 2xx and so on. Just need to keep
to it.. Also, it's complication in a cluster and on HA storage.
Anything in a cluster probably needs its own scheme.
That said I like it better than ESXi simply because VMWare like to retire
support for perfectly good hardware. And we have had some issues with ESXi
snapshots and some backup products. My employer is stuck on ESXi 5.5. :-(
I've had far better performance for Win 10 vm's on Proxmox than I ever did on
ESXi.

Gotcha... I imagine that could be worked around by shutting down a VM,
detaching the storage, noting the config, deleting the VM, creating a new VM
with tye desired ID, attaching the storage to it, and starting it back up.
