Hi
They are the old SA100? Arrays which have FC25 fibre (an early version of fibre channel, not compatible with the later standard FC). So you need the FC25 interfaces which came as either SBus cards or from memory were on the SS1000 motherboards?
All the drives used are 80 pin standard (not HVD) SCSI and although they were only supplied with small 1/2Gb disks, you could use larger disks as per normal with Sun systems. The array is however slow due to its controller and Fc25 interface.
Also from memory the SBus card was supported well into the Solaris 2 versions (8?) so could be used on later systems such as Ultras.
End of missive!
Peter
