Hi everyone!
I have too much stuff. I've also taken in some stuff to refurb and
need to make room. Shipping/pick-up would be from OX10 in the UK.
Happy to deliver within a reasonable range. This stuff isn't free.
Please make reasonable offers.
1) Sun T5140 Server. I rescued this thinking it would make a great
Minecraft server. Until ORCL & OpenJDK decided to pull Sparc JDK
support. I may have rails for this. Played with Solaris 11.3 and
OpenBSD in an effort to see how quick it would be at mining bitcoin
for the lulz. It's slow. I know people have made these workstations
with graphics cards, but it's too noisy for me. 1.4Ghz, 32G of RAM.
128 threads(!) Has 140G and 470G hard drives (1x/each.) Has DVD drive.
2) Sun T2000 Server. 8-core. This runs but has bad RAM. I threw out
the single bad DIMM that failed POST but it still acts weird with less
than a full 2nd bank of RAM; system will seem to hard-lock when
booting. It could also be a cooling thing given I'm in a household
environment. I may have rails for this. It should have 16G of RAM when
fully configured. I know it has at least 1x hard drive. Has DVD drive.
3) SunBlade 150. Two PATA/IDE drives installed + smart card reader and
CD-ROM. Has Solaris 9 installed. I replaced the CR2308 on the
motherboard as it showed IDPROM invalid. These are OBP 4.x so you
can't reprogram the all-0 MAC address. I fixed this with some ifconfig
magic in /etc/rc3.d to make it usable. I found some extra PC100 RAM
and it now has 768M of RAM instead of 256M. This comes with the
period-correct (and yellowed) Sun USB keyboard and mouse. 450Mhz
UltraSparc 2i (2e?) CPU. On-board PGX-64 graphics.
4) Ultra 10. ACARD IDE->SDCard adapter! Solaris 10 installed. Has
appropriate Type 6 Sun keyboard & mouse. 440Mhz and 256M of RAM. New
NVRAM battery.
5) Sparc 20. 384M of RAM. 4M VSIMM with working cg14. 2x Ross 150Mhz
CPUs. qfe ethernet so you can use 100Mb. Labelled as "SparcServer 20."
Hard drives pulled and replaced with an Amiga-Kit ZuluSCSI SD-card
adapter which is bloody brilliant. Has appropriate Type-5 keyboard and
mouse. I also have some 13W3 cables (2m long!) and sun-branded
13w3->VGA cables. Replaced the NVRAM battery a few years ago; has the
option with clock ticks turned off so the battery will last. Solaris 9
is installed.
6) Sun V240. I've advertised this before. This is in a storage unit in
Indianapolis, IN, USA. 2 CPU, 4G of RAM. 2x 36G disks.
I have a spare PGX64 PCI card so if you want you can make the SB150 or
Ultra 10 dual-head.
Things I'm looking for:
A) 16x 30 pin SIMMs (ideally 2MB in size.)
B) Apple ADB Keyboard
C) Power Adapter & Battery for Tadpole SparcBook 3000XT
D) Older-style VGA cable which has pins missing from the DB15
connector (as found on PS/2, etc.)
