[rescue] differences between Ultrasparc IIIi CPU's

So some months ago I added a Sun V210 to my home setup - which came with a single cpu installed.

The part number on that cpu is 1170-1503 Which as far as I can make out is a 1.53 Ghz CPU.


I just picked up today a Sun Netra V240 with a great amount of corrosion on the chassis and SCSI/Ethernet connectors.

I think it must have been kept in someone's garage for years and has not fared well as a result. I don't think it is really salvageable.


This machine has a 527-1279 CPU which also seems to be a 1.53Ghz CPU part number.

Ideally I would like to add a second CPU to the Sun V210.


Can these parts be combined together since they appear to be the same speed?

Also can ram be installed in the system unbalanced?  I have 2GB already in the V210 and got another 1GB with the Netra that

I would also  like to install in the V210.


Is what I want to do here possible within hardware limits?
