The R denotes that it's a Sun rom that's been modified by Ross. Ross
made several R roms over the years to add support for Hypersparcs,
most of the older versions are hard to find now tho. You do not need
an R version to support most Hypersparcs tho as Sun added support for
most Hypersparcs to their roms. Here's a rough version history of the
roms.

2.7: First rom for ss10, only supports sm100 and early supersparcs up to sm41
2.10: Support added for sm51
2.12: Support added for dual sm40
2.19: Support added for rt620a and rt620b Hypersparcs
2.22: Support added for Supersparc II
2.25: Support added for rt620c Hypersparcs
2.25R: Support added for rt620d Hypersparcs, Ross also says this rom
will allow an ss10 to use 32MB dimms
