Hi friends,
I’ve been battling getting my Ultra 1 170e to boot solaris install from
CD. It boots the NetBSD install fine. I get exactly the same results if
it’s an actual CD or a ZuluSCSI cd image. I get the same results on a
Solaris 7 install or Solaris 2.6 install.
Right after “using default device instance data” the spinning cursor
freezes. Box will not L1-a after this.
I reset the NVRam and reprogrammed it with box type “80” and the same
problem persists. The CD device is 512b blocks as well as the ZuluImage.
As I mentioned NetBSD install and execution works fine.
Any ideas folks?
Thx!
