Technically you have a SAS/SATA problem... I'm uncertain of the correct animal
to sacrifice for those problems.
Are there any loose connections in the chassis?
I think the issue is going to be settings/functions on controller card,
because the chassis simply extends the drive connector back to the
controller.
It sounds like a port-multiplier related issue, but this is SAS wiring, not
SATA...
