[rescue] off-topic but advice needed for the involuntary hardware upgrade for Win 11?

Microsoft had condoned certain workarounds for Win11 system checks, but they have recently indicated that those workarounds will not be included/supported/tolerated in future updates of Win11.
My suggestion wasn't about actually running Win11, it was to cite native Win11 support as a useful benchmark to use when buying new hardware.
Win11 support goes back to Intel 8th generation (8000-series) CPUs, that takes you back about 7 years. I'd be hard-pressed to spend folding money on 8+ year-old PC hardware, even to run Linux on it...

The Elite 8300 appears to have TPM 1.2, so it's possible to install with slightly-tweaked installation media: https://web.archive.org/web/20241212193416/https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/ways-to-install-windows-11-e0edbbfb-cfc5-4011-868b-2ce77ac7c70e
